Winter/Spring 2026 Classes

We are happy to announce our Winter/Spring Classes at Shore River Gardens!

All classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Class minimum is 5 people, so bring your friends! We can accept up to 10 students per class (unless otherwise noted), due to space restrictions.

All attendees must be registered and paid in advance. Registration begins Monday, December 1st, 2025. Call 732-962-3162 to register.

*Please note: we cannot issue refunds with less than 7 days notice before the class date. All cancellations within 7 days of class date will be issued a store credit. Please be sure to check your schedule before signing up! Thank you!

Floral : Make & Take

Design Basics: Centerpiece in Oasis Foam

Saturday, February 21st, 1pm

Calling all novice designers! In this class, you will learn to make a fresh-cut round centerpiece using floral foam. Learn about basic design elements, mechanics and structure, and the use of color, texture and form to create a beautiful piece for any occasion. Class includes all materials, tools and instruction.

Design Basics: Mason Jar Arrangement

Arranging in fresh water gives cut flowers the longest life possible, and the simple Mason Jar is a design that everyone can master. Casual and colorful, the Mason Jar makes a versatile arrangement, perfect for centerpieces, gifts, or any occasion!

Class includes all materials, tools and instruction.

Design Basics: Low Cube Vase

Saturday, March 7th, 2pm

Glass cube and cylinder vases are probably the most popular choice for centerpieces today. And thankfully, they're easy to make! In a 5"x5" vase, we will create a design that is low & clustered, for a lush look that puts the flowers at center stage.

Class includes all materials, tools and instruction.

Ikebana Bowl Arrangement

Explore the art of Japanese floral design! This minimalist approach uses relatively few, carefully placed elements, with an emphasis form, line, and asymmetrical balance.

Class includes all materials and instruction.

Spring Garden Box

We are often tempted to arrange flowers in symmetrical patterns. But that isn't how they naturally grow! In this class, we will create our design in an informal wood box, with flowers arranged in a more natural style. Full of different colors and textures, this arrangement will make you think of a summer garden!

Create your very own potted herb garden, and always have the herbs you love to cook with on hand! Choose from thyme, parsley, rosemary, cilantro and more. Add some cute plant markers for a bit of fun!

Private Classes: By Appointment, For Groups of 5 or More

Looking for a unique activity to do with friends? Enjoy an evening of fun with your besties, while you all create gorgeous floral designs, or other creative projects! Each one-hour session includes all materials, and expert instruction. Events will be tailored to each individual group, based on your choice of project and experience level.
